About Michael Ferro

Michael W Ferro, Jr is a healthcare tech entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Miami based PE Firm Merrick Ventures, focused on democratizing healthcare and artificial intelligence. In his career, Michael has founded and built many companies that went public or were acquired for over $1B.

One of Michael Ferro's exits was after he bought nearly bankrupt Merge Healthcare and built it into a billion-dollar valuation. In 2015, IBM bought Merge Healthcare for $1B. As part of giving back, Michael founded the Michael and Jacqueline Ferro Foundation, which has donated millions of dollars to many worthy causes. Notable donations include $2M to Northwestern for an entrepreneur incubator and $1M to the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA). Ferro has won over 15 awards, including the Ernst & Young Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, Forbes Tech’s 100 Highest Rollers, and was a Best Documentary Emmy Award Nominee.
