This is an interesting article that explores a growing trend; students may use freedom-of-speech argument to protect their individual opinions and, effectively, misjudge what are (by quite sound standards) facts. That alone creates a feasible risk: any professor now can be reported by students to the department’s administrators as forcing his/her own ideology on them. Equally troubling to me are certain commentators here: they immediately (and often, I assume, quite unknowingly to them) expose their own skewed arguments effectively confirming that such a problem indeed exists.

Personally, I don’t recall any “better” time for B.S. masquerading as the truth than what I witness in the last few years…
