The most advanced technology of the day has historically formed the model used to describe the Universe. Newton’s clockwork Universe posited a predictable, cyclical reality. By knowing the position and momentum of all particles at any moment, one could predict the position and momentum of all particles at every moment, negating free will.

Newtonian physics and its clock gave way to quantum mechanics and computers: a reality made of bits of information interfacing with our consciousness. Information breeds misinformation, leading to spooky effects in the consciousness-reality dynamic such as simlulation theory.

We see this in The Matrix: Reloaded. When the Merovingian argues for causality as the guiding principle of existence, he moves his hand linearly, suggesting Newtonian mechanics. When Morpheus replies that ‘Everything begins with choice,’ he is referring to consciousness, whose existence the Merovingian argues is an illusion defined by power, alluding to the Matrix itself.

I provide Jungian psychotherapy informed by the wisdom of quantum mechanics. This entails living such that whatever happens on the path is part of the path.
