We seem to spend most of our lives doing self-defeating things, never really knowing our own reality, and we are often too afraid to ask questions so that we can find out our own truth.

Is Life Worth Living?

In my opinion, yes, it is. I think that life is precious and should be treasured. Because in this life, we can experience and learn the truth of the universe and ourselves, and in this way end suffering forever.

Many people today are lost and believe that there is nothing more than our physical existence.

Do we exist in a materialistic universe?

I want to start by talking about Leo Tolstoy (Count Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy 9 September [O.S. 28 August] 1828–20 November [O.S. 7 November] 1910).

He is of course one of the greatest writers in human history.

For much of his early years, Tolstoy lived a debauched life.

When he was about 50 he suddenly looked at the world, and thought nothing in life had value, there was no purpose in being. It was a profound and extraordinary realization that led him to think about committing suicide.

He reinvented himself as a Christian but did not hold conventional beliefs.
