El Dorado: The Invisible Gold City

There are so many mysteries in this world that are still unknown to this world.
From the tales of kings and queens to gold chambers, there are thousands of folktales that still amaze people.

This is the story of a city and its treasure called El Dorado. This city is located somewhere in Columbia, the exact location is still unknown. According to folktales, a sector of this area was covered with Gold.

The king of El Dorado used to bathe from the ash of Gold. It’s stated that there used to be gold even in the soil then. The people of the Muisca race living in this region used to follow a strange ritual to elect their king. Under the custom, the person who came king was brought to the lake termed Guatavita. There his clothes were removed and gold ashes were rubbed on his body. A lot of gold was also burdened along with it. When that person used to take bath in the middle of the canal, people used to throw gold in the canal. Because of this, multiple tonnes of gold are buried in this lake. The property currently has now grasped the form of a treasure.

Many people have been sacrificed in the quest for whom. But greediness is such a curse that people are still trying to find this treasure. To find this treasure of El Dorado, multiple campaigns are still going on. Multiple people have reached Lake Guatavita while searching for this. Many people also got success in uprooting gold from the lake. This success fueled the buzz for the treasure of El Dorado. Despite finding gold, people lost their lives searching for La Dorado.
