At some point, I think I inadvertently started disconnecting earlier off by deleting my Facebook account three years ago. I can’t say it’s a choice I didn’t regret because from time to time I had to go through some unnecessary workarounds just to chat with people around me.

But for the most part, it made it easier for me to just not have the Facebook app installed. And to fill up that void and stop myself from missing the social network, I started going with something else that was a little more productive — writing blog posts and sometimes engaging on Twitter every once in a while.

I still pick up my phone a number of times in a day (soemtimes even for no good reason) but I can say I don’t feel the strong urge to do so than if i had Facebook installed
