I’ve Changed My Mind About Suicide Squad

Movie mechanics aside, SS was already setup for failure with the barrage of teasers and trailers that hyped characters that only lived a fraction of the movie. They could have taken some cues from Marvel with Guardians, telling a good story without the cameos from other characters in the extended universe.

SS wound up being a cash grab and a pre-promo commercial for the next Justice League movie, which didn’t really work that well to sell the idea to anyone outside the universe (DC fans would say otherwise, but let’s be honest that’s was fan service). I can’t really say SS disappointed me because I wasn’t really excited about it to begin with. I just saw a big potential to tell a good story, which Warner Bros never really took that seriously.

There goes my two cents.
