Dji Mavic Pro Camera Review — The best Camera Drone

Dji Mavic Pro Camera

Dji Mavic Pro is one of the best drones in 2017 with an amazing camera up to 12-megapixel, 4K ULTRA HD VIDEO and many features you can read it in this review.

So. About review of today is just for camera of Dji Mavic Pro.

FEATURES AND SPECS

Without a doubt, the most standout feature of the Mavic is its portability. DJI went back to the drawing board with this drone, and it shows.

Instead of a space-hogging fixed-arm hull, the Mavic features a set of folding arms and props that, thanks to their clever configuration, allow the drone to fold down into a neat little package that’s roughly the size of a standard brick (but not quite as heavy).

This, along with the super compact controller, make the Mavic one of hte most portable drones we’ve ever encountered.

Up front, it’s also equipped with a 4K camera and super compact 3-axis gimbal. This allows the device to capture super stabilized video without the resolution cutbacks required for digital stabilization.

Plus, behind the camera, the drone also has DJI’s ActiveTrack and Optical Flow software, which allow it to track objects and sense obstacles (respectively) using nothing but the camera and image analysis algorithms.

Flight and range specs are also impressive. DJI equipped the Mavic with an all-new video transmission system called OcuSync, which stretches the Mavic’s max range to over 4 miles and boosts its resistance to interference.

At shorter ranges, this tech can even stream footage to you at 1080p resolution, allow photo and video downloads at 40Mb/s — which is absolutely nuts.

To round out the package, the Mavic Pro also sports all the same Intelligent Flight Modes that DJI’s Phantom 4 has — plus two new ones.

In addition to the standard Follow mode, Point of Interest, Waypoints, and Course Lock, the Mavic also has DJI’s new Terrain Follow and Gesture modes. It is absolutely stuffed with features.

4K ULTRA HD VIDEO

Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) is a shake reduction technology based on image cropping. It is particularly popular among compact and small drones since they can be made more simply by replacing a 3-axis gimbal stabilized camera with a fixed camera and EIS. EIS works by cropping edges from a 4K image, and can theoretically create a smooth full HD 1080p video from an original 4K video. However, EIS is unable to eliminate shaking and introduces ripples in both photos and videos. In drones, EIS has three main problems:

Related:”Dji Mavic Pro The Greatest Drone Or Just A Joke!

1. EIS systems cannot shoot 4K or high frame rate video because cropping is necessary to reduce shake, and the amount of cropping will vary depending on the amount of movement.

As 4K is currently the highest definition available for most cameras, 4K (or even 2.7K video) cannot be shot while using EIS. Additionally, as it takes time to process the cropping, recording video at high framerates is not possible, resulting in only 1080p video at 30fps.

2. Shooting perspectives cannot be controlled precisely. Without a gimbal, drones are forced to use a fisheye lens to allow shooting angle changes, but changing the angle only uses part of the camera view, negatively affecting the shooting experience.

3. Black edges may be introduced in the video in flight during a severe maneuver. This occurs because EIS technology clips beyond the edge of the video in an effort to keep the image stable.

To provide true 4K aerial video and a smooth live feed, the Mavic Pro is equipped with the smallest high-precision 3-axis gimbal that DJI has ever made. With brushless motors on all three axes, the gimbal can control the camera with precision, adjusting it to eliminate shake caused by movement from the Mavic.

This 4K camera uses core technologies found in all DJI cameras. It is equipped with a 1/2.3 inch CMOS image sensor, commonly found in professional sports cameras, and an aerial imaging optimized integrated lens with an equivalent focal length of 28mm. It shoots smooth 4K video at 30fps, 1080P video at 96fps and 12-megapixel photos.

VR Headset an Important Accessory for Mavic Pro

Dji MAvic Pro VR Headset

These are video goggles from DJI. Why would you want a headset from DJI? Because it connects wirelessly to the company’s new foldable Mavic Pro drone, giving you a live, bird’s eye view from the camera (in 1080p no less). DJI announced the goggles (actually called “DJI Goggles”) at its big Mavic launch event last week, but they weren’t giving demos. We managed to get a rare ride inside them, and it’s a whole bunch of fun.
