Maybe it’s because I’m an asshole, but whenever I’m forced to buy off a registry, I always buy the most ludicrous thing on it, in hopes of making the couple feel awkward about their choices. Like, you registered for three sets of measuring spoons? I’m going to get them all to make you think about what you did.

I also did not have one (because I married in my 30s and needed no stuff), and believe most people don’t need them either. It’s just an excuse to consume!
