MEWconnect for Android: Official GooglePlay Release

To kick off the new year, we are thrilled to announce that the official MEWconnect app — the ‘hardware wallet’ without all the hardware — is now available for Android smartphones on GooglePlay!
This new release will bring the same hardware wallet-like functionality of the free MEWconnect app to Android smartphones, putting the security of a cold-storage device right in the palm of your hand.
Cryptocurrency’s promise to allow users to conveniently manage funds in a private and secure way from any location around the world cannot be fully realized without better storage solutions. We believe one of the main barriers to crypto adoption is the lack of free, secure and convenient options for users to store their private keys.
Hardware wallets are currently the safest type of cryptocurrency storage available, with many security features built in, as well as support for multiple cryptocurrencies.
Yet, the price of hardware wallets — ranging from $90–200 USD — may hold back new crypto users from accessing secure storage solutions. Besides, managing an added external hardware device may be seen as a hassle.
With MEWconnect, we aim to further crypto adoption by providing users of all experience levels with a way of storing and exchanging digital assets that is instant and hassle-free, while maintaining the highest standard of security.
We have loved seeing the community’s reaction to the iOS version launched earlier this year in the AppStore and can’t wait to bring MEWconnect to even more users today.
