When people all around the world run for a cover during the rains, Western Ghats starts sending out invites to the people for hike. The rains bring these dried up hills back to life, the aroma of shriveled earth quenching its thirst, the roaring waterfalls and the canvas of hill painted in lush green is a delightful sight.
So as the monsoon was hitting its full swing. MHC was desperately planning to capture the beauty that nature had served, cherish the memories and what could have been better than Pawana Lake, the backwaters of the lake make up for a beautiful view which is enhanced manifold during the monsoon season. But the catch of the trek was something different!

So the planning was done, gears were packed and we all set out in the morning, earlier than the event with our enthusiastic team. Reaching there the team was fascinated and lured into the utter charm of the place- hills so green, a lake so tranquil, a sky so clean; breeze so intoxicating left us spellbound.
The team started to set up camps and other facilities for our trekkers who would join us later. It was a difficult task to pitch two white poles in the ground with a white cloth tied on the both ends. But by the end of the day everything was at its place.

Later the trekkers arrived and they seem pretty euphoric about the place. It was confirmed when one of the trekkers exclaimed “it feels like I’m in the seventh heaven “with increasing his chest by taking a long breath. That moment we so wanted to tell him that a lot is in store for him.
Juices and refreshments were served. Trekkers were taken by a surprise when we revealed that the location is on another end of the lake. With the amazing boat ride the team had reached the island site and the trekkers were already flooded with selfies and pictures.
The island site was a complete different world. Far away from the city lights a sense of freedom prevailed in the air. Evening snacks and tea was served which was enjoyed by the trekkers. The trekkers were then told to explore the place and spend some quality time with their friends and loved ones. The mist and the cold breeze were setting up the mood. The peace and the serenity of the place were helping us and everyone rejuvenate.

It was 9 and trekkers were eagerly waiting for the most awaited event of the trek. The movie under a billion star theater. An experience is once in a lifetime and felt like it was something just out of movies. The movie that we selected for the event was Dil Chahta Hai because nothing could go better with the mood like this and with your friends around.
During the interval the aroma of barbecue filled the place and trekkers enjoyed our barbecue dinner and returned back to their movie. The movie was done by 12. Everyone was tired and advanced to their camps.
The next day, we saw trekkers had a sense of fulfillment. No one would ever forget the experience. Few people did request the team to keep organizing such events again and again for the much needed break from the hectic lifestyle.
But all we can promise is memories that you will cherish all your life.
