The SysOps Administrator Associate exam is designed to validate the technical skills and knowledge of candidates in developing and maintaining applications on the AWS platform.

The exam covers a wide range of topics, including:

  1. AWS core services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB
  2. Developing, deploying, and debugging cloud-based applications using AWS tools and services
  3. Writing code that optimizes performance of AWS services
  4. Implementing security and compliance policies on the AWS platform
  5. Understanding of AWS pricing, billing, and cost optimization strategies
  6. Designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS

To pass the exam, you should have a good understanding of software development, cloud computing, and AWS services. It is recommended that you have at least one year of experience in developing and maintaining AWS-based applications.

Exam Details:-

⁃ Total Questions: 65 multiple-choice or multiple response questions
⁃ Time: 130 minutes + 30min(Non-English Speakers)
⁃ Passing score: 720 out of 1000
⁃ Cert Fee: 150$ + Taxes

  1. Start with either AWS Official Certified SysOps Administartor Resources or Youtube or with a Udemy Course (I followed Neal Davis Udemy Course)

Best Courses You can Follow on Udemy

Pros:- Stephane explains the concepts so clearly and gives you tips in between for the certification exam.

Cons:- These courses don`t have cons🙂.

Pros:- Neal is a genius in explaining concepts so easily. The exam scenarios at the end is a cherry on the top (🎂)

2. After Completing the Udemy Course or Instructor-led training, revise your notes, then Go for any of the following Practice Tests on Udemy.

(I followed Jon Bonso & Neal Davis Practice Tests)

Pros:- These practice tests are the best, you can use them to thoroughly test your preparation

Cons:- Honestly None

Pros:- 5 practice tests covering every topic

Cons:- 1st Practice test is similiar to the practice test in the theory course.

3. After getting scores consistently above 85–90%, you can go for Certification. (Don`t worry, if you don`t get 70% in initial practice test attempts)
