The drug “methamphetamine” is a stimulant that is used for the treatment of various mental disorders. It is commonly abused and can be fatal in overdose. Methamphetamine is also a precursor to the production of methamphetamines, which are highly addictive and highly toxic drugs. Methamphetamine has been found to be present in urine of people who use it as an illegal drug.

In 2001, a study was done by a British team of researchers at UCL and the University of Salford, which showed that methamphetamine-like drugs were present in the urine of people suspected to have used MDMA. The study concluded that methamphetamine metabolites in urine could be used as a marker for ecstasy use.

However, not all users are drug abusers , and some of them may also be forensic toxicologists. As a result, evidence collected from a number of tests may be used to determine whether someone has been using MDMA, or another drug, recently. It allows for the identification of possible users and focuses on those who are looking for information about drug abuse.
