It is about supporting child emotionally, mentally, physically, financially, and love them- from childhood to adulthood and beyond. Parenting is the easiest thing in the world to give opinion about, but one of the toughest jobs in practice.

Parenting is not easy. You need to be a different person. You stop thinking about yourself. Patience and stress go hand in hand when it comes to raising a child. You need to become more mindful to handle your child. Many people share their experiences with you, and give opinion too. But, sometimes nothing works between you and your child.

To be a mindful parent and for mindful parenting, you need to be calm and have patience. Parents want to enjoy every single moment spent with child. Parents are eager to teach them new things and observe their sweet acts. But, this is not always possible. So by following some rules and guidelines, you can practice mindful-parenting.

Stress management
Stress management is really important to handle your child. Kids are curious by nature. They may ask the same question 10 times. This may irritate you, but you need to stay calm and composed. You have to be patient with your child. If you are not patient, the queries from your little one will add to your existing stress.

Be emotionally present
Your child feels secure with you and needs your support at every point. So it is your duty to listen to him and react accordingly. Keep his feelings in mind, make him understand what is wrong and right. So paying attention to his emotions and feelings is very important.

Enjoy the moment
We know it is really difficult to enjoy every single moment with your child, especially when he is screaming without reason. So before scolding and punishing the child, take a deep breath and try to reason out with them. You must enjoy these unusual moments because they will be rare. If you start enjoying these stressful moments, then you will be in a better position to handle your child.

Control emotions
Sometimes handling children can become miserable, especially toddlers. Sleepless nights, changing clothes many times, and if without rest this can lead to stress and emotional breakdown. So maintain emotional balance even if your child is throwing tantrums, handle it without showing emotions on your face.

Accept it
You are no more in a situation where you can take your own decisions, you are a parent now. A time will come when you had planned a dinner, party or a weekend holiday, and suddenly your child reminds you about his project or falls ill. In such a situation instead of going nuts, accept these situations with compassion.

Be a good listener
Listen to your child and don’t react instantly. Take some time, think about what he said and then revert to him. If you want to open up, without any hesitation say whatever you are feeling. Sharing emotions, thoughts and feelings makes the child-parent love deep and bonding strong. So if you can’t bear his loud screams, just tell him.

Keep balance
As we have told you that you are now a parent, so you need to maintain a balance and manage time. You are independent and intelligent to make decisions and choices. You may decide to go for a movie, but then just spare a thought about completing child’s science project. Frustration and irritation won’t help. Just learn to balance.
