Grumble

I don’t want this to be about tech.

There I said it, the concept of making this a tech focused project is quite repellent to me. I want the project to involve tech sure, but not to be centred around it, so I have to take step back.

Reading about Kenya Hara’s ‘Haptic’ exhibition really inspired me, I want to make a series of products that revolve around a central theme, something tangible, something that focuses on making our everyday lives more spiritually involved.

So what then….

I guess I’m attached to the feeling brought about by buddhism and meditation where I feel more connected to myself, my surroundings and others. A king of heightened sensory experience. I want people to come away from my project with a sense of calm and a strong sensory connection. I feel like we are so reliant on visual stimulus today, with everything bombarding our vision and nothing creating a deeper connection, so I would like my project to connect to people and help them embrace exploration of senses.

So how does this fit in with awareness, I certainly want to still focus on that, awareness of how we project ourselves into the world and how it projects itself back onto us. But this is all so broad, how to I find my niche to focus this project on? What do I want to present in three days? Jesus, 3 days….
