Most of us are blessed with this body shape. Standing true to the Indian appearance, the pear shaped body structure of a shapely waist, full hips and thighs are the features of femininity that you possess.

The pear body type, draws attention to the lower half of the body, which can be changed by focusing on your shoulders and trying on off-shoulder tops or pencil dresses. You can also bring attention to your shapely waist by wearing shirts with darts.

Another way to focus on the slender areas of your figure is to create a colour block around your waist, your neckline or hemline of the garment you’re wearing. Instead of similar shades, try using contrasting shades to create a more impactful impression.

Structured blazers and jackets would help in accentuating the torso and pairing your tops with flared out A-line skirts would help in creating an illusion of a narrower hip.

Below the hip snug tops, peplum tops with flared bottoms, cargo pants and mini-skirts, might not be the perfect choice, if you are trying to divert the attention from your hipline.

We’ve incorporated a number of styles keeping in mind the most common Indian body shape. Sleeveless lace blouse, pink cotton lace shirt, white linen shirt, high low linen blouse are some of the styles in our collection which would suit your body type.

DO’S: Off-shoulder tops, pencil dresses, colour blocking through ruffles or bows. Combinations of blazers and jackets with A-line skirts.

DON’TS: Below the hip snug tops, flared peplum tops, cargo pants and mini-skirts.
