Who is MyPenSoul Writes

Some ask why I write ….
“I write because my pen is my voice a lot of times. The ink never runs out, and my only limit is punctuation.”
I guess I never actually took the time to properly introduce myself to everyone! How rude of me! (Smacks hand) I did it really. You don’t believe me? Fine! You’re right! Tee hee!
I am a storyteller. So why not start off telling a story. Ha! Hope you are still reading. I love writing because every aspect of life has a story in it. Waking up, brushing your teeth, learning to drive, playing a tennis match, drama at work, family, love, relationships, politics (bleh!), living, not living, being lazy, blah blah and more blah. This entire post could have just been a list of topics. I’ve already given you so many right there. You’re welcome!
As I was saying before my thoughts distracted me — I love writing. I always say, “The only limit in writing is punctuation!” Prove me wrong! See, there you go. The sentence never ends if I do not add some type of punctuation.
When I was in third grade, my favorite teacher Mrs. Statham submitted an essay I wrote about Blacks, Native Americans, and Slavery, and she presented this envelope to me. Inside it was a certificate — President’s Award for Writing. I wonder if my mom still has it somewhere. That would be nice to put in a frame and put on my wall somewhere. That is what started my writing journey. I never thought about it until a few years ago. But, writing and being an author is and always has been in me. I need to write daily and often. I need to write about any and everything. One of the things that hones my gift of writing is reading ALOT about any and every topic. I love the feel of a crisp book in my hands, where I can turn the pages. You know people love that new car smell. I love that new book smell! It’s really! Believe me!
I am sure I will write more about who I am, so that you can get to know me better. I do not plan on going anywhere, so we might as well start a conversation.
Let’s see where this goes!
Thank you for stopping by and happy writing!
