Great insights and reminders about how we generalize “contribution” as speaking up and not actually providing value in any number of ways. We wrote about a related topic recently, looking at how people get singled out for leadership often because they make the most noise, not because they are the strongest managers & mentors. It’s such a widespread and insidious issue, always good to see more writing on the many ways it crops up!
