Serial killers aren’t just a problem in America. Here are three murders from abroad that have still have not been captured.

Brazil’s Rainbow Maniac

From February of 2007 to August of 2008. 13 people were killed in Paturis Park in Carapicuiba, Brazil. Each of them but one was murdered execution-style with bullets to the head. Additionally, they were all found dumped in nearby bushes with their pants down around their ankles. One of the victims was beaten to death and another, the last, was shot 12 times.

All thirteen of these men were gay. In this area at the time, many ultra-conservative groups spoke out against homosexuality. These murders were an obvious attack against the gay population in São Paulo.

In 2011, a suspect was arrested. The suspect was a retired police officer by the name Jairo Francisco Franco. At least one witness said they had seen Franco shoot a black gay man twelve times in Paturis Park. He went to trial for the killings but was not found guilty. It is very possible that the Rainbow Manic was set free..
