Certified Nursing Assistant Certification Course by CTE & RCHS’s Career
Technical Education Department [CTE] and Rhea County High School’s Career has just announced their first ever course of Certified Nursing Assistant. The classes are underway and showed a promising beginning.
For the students enrolled this course of Certified Nursing Assistant will be receiving blood pressure cuffs and stethoscopes from the hospital as they are also covering the cost of CPR certifications. Along with that the Life Care is providing scrubs free of charge for Certified Nursing Assistant candidates.
Dr. Hak Seo’s office and Dr. Tom Bovine’s office are helping with physicals without any charges. The school board is volunteering for stationary supplies and the books needed for the Certified Nursing Assistant course.
TCAT will be providing the instructor, Massengill said. CTE department has been able to cover the certification test for $93 per student through their Carl Perkins state CTE funding. And, this is the one time pay. If the student fails to pass the exam in the first attempt, he/she then has to pay the fees again for the second attempt.
This is a great initiative by Technical Education Department [CTE] and Rhea County High School’s Career. This will prepare the kids for the role of a Certified Nursing Assistant which are in huge demand these days and the demand will rise in the future.
