Not That Kind of Retired Person
Mike Dang

As someone close to that retirement year, well, if I can manage it — I don’t want to be a downer, but while about half of people in their 60s and 70s are spry and active, about half are having a lot of health issues. And you know what they say — it’s true. If you have your health, you have everything. And if you don’t have your health….

Truth is, almost any retirement situation is great if you’re healthy and your mind is working well. But it’s a really big IF.

Depressing. You know, I wanna be that “never too old to rock and roll” type, but it’s kind of scary. We live longer than ever… but many of us live that last 20 years infirm and in pain.

Downer, I know. I never meant for this to happen. Not that I have any choice. If I did, I’d choose a university town. Plenty of arts and intellect, low pollution, young people to make me feel in tune. :)
