Holistic Health is a collection of healing techniques that has evolved from traditional medical methods of healing. Holistic health attempts to cure disorders of the mind, body and spirit and promotes wholeness and balance in the individual.

Holistic medicine individualizes its treatments and doesn’t take a one-size-fit-all approach. Holistic medicine can be used exclusively, or it can be combined with traditional methods. It’s an individual choice. Yoga and meditation can be used for stress reduction. Acupuncture may help chronic pain. Holistic health is all about bettering your quality of life.

People in poor health and those who have chronic conditions sometimes like taking charge of their own health. Using alternative treatments gives them this choice. But do not eliminate conventional medicine, but use alternative remedies in conjunction with conventional medicine.

Some examples of holistic medicine are acupuncture, crystal healing, homeopathy, massage, meditations, polarity therapy, psychic healing, therapeutic touch, and reflexology, to name a few. Holistic Health is common among the New Agers (of all ages) but definitely not limited to them. Holistic Healing uses both mental and physical techniques, in harmony. One of the Holistic goals is to help individuals on their path to an advanced spirituality mindset.
