What Love Is Not

love is liberation.

a freedom from bondage of conditions; freedom from the bondage of clauses.

it is the shore of eternal contentment; one leaves not which, whence they return, post the departure thence.

but to return, thou shall have to depart.

have to endure the pain of longing. shall have to unchain the insecurity swamps that thou.

to return to the muds, sink your feet again and feel the mellows of it, whilst the night of shimmers bestow its haze, subdued by the heavens, loving past your brows as you gently loosen the lids of your eyes while the droplets embark the curvature of your eyelashes, caressing the aura of your body, now daubed in bumps of gooseflesh, you will have to eschew your belief of love. you will have to reject the notion of love. shed the attachments of your possessions. strip yourself of attention.

learn that acceptance is love; that there is no love without liberation; that there is no liberation without love. that you are till you believe you are, but in essence you are not who you think you are, but a faction of reality of what you think you are. understand that love is not to lock someone down in your heart, but to free their spirit off your expectations and your anticipations. free them of assumptions, presumptions, accusations and reprimands on their failure to fulfill your desires.

love is not liking. it is not addiction. not intoxication. not lust either. not if, not but. not this nor that. love ain’t even asking or giving. love is, but anything that you inscribe onto the pages of the dictionaries that rule your vocabularies. it’s nonthe at all.

the moment you free yourself of these atrocities — that moment, you will drown deep into the abyss of love. and will want to swim back never to the shores abode above the chasm of the immense gravity of love. because then, you will find love. and you will have nowhere to look, no one to ask, no one to tell, no one to justify, no one to seek gratification from. you will be in love then.

And then you will smile, when they talk about love; nod in affirmation to their beliefs.

When they question, what’s so amusing, you will, but have not more than another smile to share…

love is enlightenment.
