Positive vibes only

Hi lovelies, I hope you all had a great week and are enjoying your weekend. Also, how are we already 7 months into the year!

As a busy twenty-something, living in one of the world’s busiest cities, I take pride in stopping and re-charging my batteries every now and then! I don’t have many ‘life rules’ but that is one of them; to stop and appreciate my surroundings, myself and the people around me.

How do I re-charge? This is usually mood dependent, but, it often involves spending the whole day/most of it alone — either at home (no place like home after all), working out/walking, reading or whatever floats my boat that day. It just helps me to clear my mind and just relax. I dare you to try it!

Last weekend, I decided to head out and explore London.

I started off in my old stomping grounds; East London, then I ventured through the West end; for 7 hours — it didn’t feel that long as it was such a gorgeous day — English summer is back — but don’t blink, it will disappear again! Lol. I walked around; not particularly going anywhere, I looked around, grabbed lunch, did a bit of shopping, art galleries, had an ice cream, randomly sat down on benches to rest my feet and people watched (people watching is one of my fav. past times —humans are such fascinating creatures! )

As I did all this, what I noticed were positive vibes only!

I came across a lot of unity, happiness, love and peace. I felt it and I saw it. With everything that has been happening around the world and in the UK (especially London), what I saw where people from all walks of life, being kind to one another and having a good old time while doing it!

People are also walking around with chalk and spreading the love with these on pavements!

The coffee shop I sat in had this pic on the wall: ‘all you need is love & cake’ — amen to that! (I didn’t get cake but I definitely felt the love)

The one thing that really grabbed my attention was when I saw (mostly) strangers in an open space, get together — — they danced together and swapped partners and generally had a laugh! #Tango! Check them out in the photos. . .

I don’t think I have ever seen anything more beautiful and amazing among strangers in my entire life. It was incredibly heart warming and I wanted to share these photos with you guys!

Today’s post was a quick one just to say that sometimes, it might be hard to see, but there is so much positivity, kindness and love all around us.

We just need to tap into that energy as much as we can and we will find it. It is there to be found and to be enjoyed.

Most of us are all about the positive vibes only, so let’s all sprinkle more of that everywhere we go, because it feels good and makes us all feel alive!

Until next time, here is a pic of me spreading a little positivity of my own! :-)

Afro :)
