This project was done during my time as a User Experience Designer at Craft Design, a UX design consultancy based in Mumbai.

Introduction

The Royal Opera House in Mumbai is the only surviving opera house in India. After having been shut down sometime in the 90s, it opened its doors for the first time in 23 years.

To commemorate the opening of this historic structure, Craft Design was given the task of creating a website for the inauguration ceremony.

Initial Stages

The task was to create a striking visual experience which talks about a brief history of the Opera House and also allows users to browse through the various events taking place at the historic venue.

The website would not only give users information about a particular event, such as a Film Festival or a Ballet Performance, but also allow them to purchase tickets.

Final Outcome

The result was an experience made engaging purely with the use of elegant imagery and artistic fonts. The ticket purchase journey was kept simple and intuitive to ensure that there were no gaps or pain points during the journey.
