Storytelling on Social Media

#QuickTips

I recently participated on a Twitter chat associated with hashtag #TwitterSmarter on the importance and value of Storytelling on Social Media. Here are quick tips and thoughts that I shared:
- Storytelling is a great approach because it allows you to create an online community that is important. Your online community understands your content & will naturally share it. Create a circle where you can learn & add value
- Storytelling allows you to personalize your content. This increases engagement & offers the Audience the opportunity to engage on a level that isn’t intimidating.
- If you choose to do Live Sessions be sure to have an outline, plan, keep it short, invite questions, and have fun with it. Oh & know how to work the “stop, record, volume & lenses/camera”
- Storytelling is effective on all Social Media Platforms just be sure to customize your content for each. Same message, different delivery. Have fun with it, but always include a Call to Action and way for the Audience to follow up.
- Always set your goals before you begin. Track views/engagement. Know when your audience is joining, when they are opting out, and note where they are coming from. This allows you to curate your content accordingly
Would love to hear your input on Storytelling and if you feel it is effective. Send any questions here: melissaadame@webheadtech.com. Feedback welcomed!
