If you never ask
The answer is always “NO”
Be kind, be supportive of others, play it forward, work hard, etc.
Then ask for what you want, state your needs. Have the hard conversations on the front side of a negotiation.
Do not stay at a table where you are not wanted and don’t be afraid to end negotiations when you are certain a mutual agreement is not a part of your future.
So ask, just like my lil buddy here.
When you find there is a demeanor not suited for your needs, allow that client to satisfy their needs elsewhere, there is enough work, enough people and enough everything to go around. Don’t scrap. Just ask…
