It is amazing to see how some business transformed themselves in the P2P world. A bank in Germany is all set to launch its own P2P Lending platform to counter the threat of lending platforms. Will P2P survive in certain highly regulated environments once regulations catch up…as currently regulators in some sectors are yet to amend their laws so P2P, banking being one of them. What would happen if traditional business organisation open a new channel within the organisation that just focused on P2P…will the P2P platform startup be able to take on a much more stable and financially deep pocketed organisations.
I possible do read up on “Strategic Decisions for Multisided Platforms” by Andrei Hagiu it talks on the very nature of these Platform businesses.
