Thanks for the reply! I have to admit I never liked the comic, despite wanting to. Originally, I planned this to be “A Defense of Assigned Male” but I found that impossible. From the first comic I disagreed with the humorless and absolutist tone, and my distaste only grew as I read more. I didn’t know about Dr. Brown’s debate when I wrote this article, but it does illustrate some issues with the discourse.
I may have been hard on the style of the comic, but I really must stand by it. It really does not seem to match the theme of the comic, like I mentioned, and the backgrounds REALLY bother me. At this point in the comic it just feels lazy. But, I am open to a disagreement in opinion, as art entails a little more subjectivity than writing.
