A Trans Perspective on “Some Like It Hot”

I teach a pair of film classes and in one of them, we are doing a unit on the greatest comedies of all time. Most critical lists include Billy Wilder’s 1959 classic, “Some Like It Hot” at or near the top. And for good reason as the film is amazingly funny. Its stars, Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, and Marilyn Monroe, were all at the top of their game in the film and every laugh is earned.
