I have a whole shelf in my library filled with Card’s books. For so very long, he was my favorite author and I read everything he wrote, even the weird Mormons in space stuff. And then I learned about the man and tried to divorce his works from him and then I couldn’t and that shelf hasn’t grown since. And now my kids are starting to read the books in the library and I have to consider if I want them reading his works, which saddens me considerably. Considerably more than his stance on HB2 or breakfast sandwiches…neither of which surprise me.
