As an American that is a Hasidic Jew living in NYC this does not “ heighten concerns among American Jews still reeling from a sharp uptick in anti-Semitism”. This has nothing to do with anti- Semitism.

Why would you jump the gun and continue to frame Jews as a victim in an event that has no trace of anti- Semitism. It’s really absurd. This is such an irresponsible article that is grabbing for what? Sympathy? Relevance? Even the Rabbi who’s tweet you quoted is upset about this article. Please amend and make it clearer that the synagogue burning down and the “uptick in anti-Semitism” are not related, pending investigation.

Get it together.
