Did Monsanto know about the damage of Roundup?

Roundup is one of the most dangerous Monsanto products — it kills people. It had been proven before. And there are more and more cases, which shoulds make farmers think if it is safe to use chemical fertilizers. But Monsanto could know about the damage they cause.

You probably remember 46-year-old Dewayne Johnson, who sued Monsanto because Roundup caused his cancer. The judge pleaded the company guilty.

Now, 4,000 plaintiffs who suffer from lymphoma sue Monsanto. This so-called Roundup Lawsuit claims that Monsanto knew about the link between glyphosate and cancer even in the 1980s, but has since concealed the danger and instead marketed Roundup as being “safer than table salt” and “practically nontoxic”.

“This could very well be the next tobacco or asbestos,” said attorney Brent Wisner when the lawsuit was consolidated into one federal action in December 2016. “Over 70,000 people are diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma every year, and the pervasive use of Roundup at home and at work might explain why that number continues to grow.”
