Recently, I installed the Ubuntu 24.04 version, and it looks amazing. However, there are some issues with the latest Ubuntu version, which are not small. But first, let's start with the good things about Ubuntu. It has something good going on.

  • easy to install and has a nice interface that guides you through each step individually.
  • nice UI desktop interface similar to Windows and Mac.
  • the option to install third-party software for graphics and Wi-fi hardware
  • no force updates like Windows 10.
  • You can customize it exactly how you want it, unlike Windows.
  • You can install/uninstall whatever piece of software you want, except certain software native only to Microsoft and Mac. There is a price to pay for switching to Linux.
  • And the best part is that you can install a package manager, or use the default one, which comes with Ubuntu preinstalled. Synaptic is by far one of the best package managers for Linux, and it has lots of libraries for programmers that use C, C++, Java, and C#. It even has support for OpenGL, SFML, and QT, and I think Vulkan, can’t remember that.
