MindConvenience And The Other Side. Inconvenience.

Gross Misperception

I decided to take the train instead of flying. It was a 6:45 am departure from Portland to Seattle. However, rather than ride the train to King Street Station in Seattle, I decided instead, to depart in Tukwila which was closer to my son’s location. A much easier meeting location than navigating Seattle’s afternoon traffic.

The train ride was wonderful with big windows and a perfect view of the amazing landscape not visible from the highway in a fast-moving vehicle. On this particular trip, driving was not convenient.

Traffic into Seattle gives me a nervous twitch because you never know how long you’re going to be inching along for miles.

Is it an accident or more road construction? Is always the thoughts flowing through one’s mind. And there is nothing you can do about either.

The train was a great alternative. I elected Business Class on this trip to gain insight into what that means on Amtrak.

I arrived at the station and there was a sign directing Business Class travelers to a lounge. So, I followed along to a door that appeared to be locked at 5:45 am. But a slight tug proved otherwise.
