I have some concerns about how the introduction is written, though. It seems that thanks to tech, theres no poverty in the world anymore. It helped but this is sadly far away from the truth.

According to your source, the extreme poverty line is defined by people who live with less than $1.90/day. Of course in the 80s, 90% of people lived with less than $1.90/day, and they could eat for the whole day. Atm you nearly get a piece of bread foe this money.

I dont think it makes sense at all to compare poverty levels according to these values.

And this is only for extreme poverty. If you check people who live with less than $3.10, it appears considerably higher.

I liked your article, it is just than I found the Intro very imprecise. Would be nice if you present it closer to reality. ☺
