…owever, as professionals we know better than to discount the complexity of what goes into our work. A good rule of thumb is: if a problem seems simple to you, you probably don’t fully understand it. You certainly might, but you probably don’t, and therefore, you should treat your critiques as investigations or explorations and not conclusions.
I never took lessons to play the drums. I never took lessons to play the guitar. I just sort of figured it out. I think that if you’re passionate about something and you’re driven and you’re focused, you can do anything you want to do in life.
