PAKISTANI ENTREPRENEURSHIP

ENTREPRENEURSHIP a new and fancy word for Pakistanis, most of the time we spell it wrong. At least I do! Don’t know about you. Being part of this ecosystem, so far I have a very little exposure to this industry but it is disappointing and encouraging at the same time. Seriously, yes bari filmi situation hy.

Once I got a chance to sit with the local entrepreneurs of my region Hazara KP, I came to know that brilliant students don’t want to be part of this ecosystem cox they are brilliant and can do any available job.

Pakistan has stepped into this culture a few years back but still, we were unable to change the mindsets. We still failed to motivate youth to be the Job Creator rather than Job Seeker. I realize this our academia has not been able to develop this innovative mindset, is one of the reason. Among the population of 22 Crore few are born brilliant and want to pursue their career as entrepreneurs

Good to know and then we are in incubation programs, waoo one of the good initiatives the government has taken. At the same time, too many of the programs and what past has shown startups try almost every incubator as stop by coworking spaces. Government has approved a good amount of funds for this. Bravo!!

What exactly we are doing at incubation, ensuring 9 to 5 attendance daily, have a set curriculum & modules to mentor startups that end up in same 9 to 5 job culture and discourage entrepreneurs at the same time.

We need to develop a strong network of incubators rather we run a race that we had done so that maximum ideas get incubated, once incubated in a program will not have a chance to sit in other incubation. Creating more opportunities for youth can create more jobs. don’t just build one incubation after the other but an impactful result. Time and energy of the entrepreneur is precious let’s not waste rather help him rise shine & grow. Think out of the box to incubate startup. why the set lines & standard why not develop the best practice as per the situation & time
