Day 4: Your An Entrepreneur Right? So Act Like It!

Have you ever looked up the definition for words to understand their meaning?

Entrepreneur: “a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so.”

Entrepreneurial spirit: is a mindset. It’s an attitude and approach to thinking that actively seeks out change, rather than waiting to adapt to change. It’s a mindset that embraces critical questioning, innovation, service and continuous improvement.

Today I returned Acton School of Business email to setup a classroom visit on March 28 and visited John B. Connally High School.

Problems & Challenges

  • Secure Domain
  • Saturday Production

  • How to setup an environment like Digital Den Studios that fosters the youth’s interests into creating tangible results moving down the realm of entrepreneurship?
  • Which entrepreneurship program would be an ideal model for communities of entrepreneurs of color?

The students I meet today were awesome and reinforced to me the importance of creating an environment that challenges them but more importantly allows them to express themselves, be creative, make mistakes and encourages them to find and focus on what interests them.

“Your now an entrepreneur you have to act like it and find a way to solve it and make it happen.” — Ruben Cantu

I had to internalize what Ruben said and really marinate on it so I start to develop a whole rounded entrepreneurial mindset that evolves me in every facet of my life to see things from a retrospective lens which prepares me to handle any situation life and business throws at me.
