10 New Songs To Check Out During Quarantine
Amid the COVID-19 breakout, artists are taking no days off when it comes to dropping new music. Here’s a list of some of the newest tracks to take a listen to:
1. “Leader Of The Delinquents” by KiD CuDi
Almost 2 years since his last musical release and almost 4 years since his last solo project, KiD CuDi returns with a long awaited single, “Leader Of The Delinquents”. CuDi previewed the track on Instagram live the day before its release on April 14th.

2. “@ MEH” by Playboi Carti
Playboi Carti dropped his newest single “@ MEH” on April 16th. He also took to twitter hinting at a possible new album but has yet to drop yet. Since beefing with Lil Uzi on social media, Lil Uzi dropped a snippet of a diss track for Carti titled, “Just MEH”.

3. “BLAME IT ON BABY” by DaBaby
After much talk about DaBaby and his unchanging flow, DaBaby’s new album BLAME IT ON BABY (released on April 17) brings listeners some more versatility than his past projects. The title track brings 2 beats together to make one very dynamic track.

4. “Your Love” by Danny Donator
Up and coming artist Danny Donator brings a smooth R&B sound with his second single “Your Love”. The track was released on April 9th.

5. “Cabbage (Freestyle)” by Smino
Smino released a surprise mixtape on SoundCloud on April 20th titled She Already Decided and described it as “sumn for da ones who been holdin shit down from jump..” The tape features freestyles over some of the most popular hits now including Meg Thee Stallion’s “Savage” in his track “Cabbage”.

6. “Toosie Slide” by Drake
With help from Atlanta-based dancers Toosie, HiiiKey, Ayo & Teo, Drake has released another top-charted single, “Toosie Slide”. Surfacing on April 3rd, the song quickly gained popularity all over the world, especially through TikTok with the “Toosie Slide Challenge”.

7. “QUARANTINE CLEAN” by Turbo, Gunna & Young Thug
Attributing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Atlanta-based trio released this track on April 2nd, shortly after social-distancing rules went into place.

8. “INTRO” by AKTHESAVIOR & Leon Fanourakis
Just months after meeting for the first time in Japan, member of hip hop duo The Underachievers’ AKTHESAVIOR, and Japanese rapper Leon Fanourakis have teamed up for an 8-track project titled FLATBU$H ¥EN. After weeks of anticipation and the release of their first single “PICCOLO”, the project was completed and released on April 3rd.

9. “Missed You” by The Weeknd
Shortly after the release of his album After Hours, The Weeknd announced 3 bonus tracks on March 30th. Along with “Missed You” is “Nothing Compares” and “Final Lullaby”. The album has now been #1 on the charts for a whole month.

10. “Broke In A Minute” by Tory Lanez
Along with hosting the most popular Instagram live show, ‘Quarantine Radio’, Tory Lanez released his newest installment The New Toronto 3 on April 10th. This track first premiered with a music video on February 7.
