Are you waiting for the muse to consistently strike you with inspiration?

Wouldn’t that be great? To consistently be in a state of inspiration and motivation.

Unfortunately. That’s not what it’s like for us regular people. 😔

That’s why I launched Storyteller’s Lounge with NapoRepublic 😀 🙌🏾, a community of growth-minded professionals and entrepreneurs interested in storytelling building healthy creative practices to live more meaningful lives.

and I hope you’ll join us in there.

(Now back to the muse)

Inspiration and motivation is not waiting to strike us at every corner.

I’ve learned this over years of making music, starting a business, and publishing two best-selling books (non-fiction and fiction).

I could not rely on the brif moments of inspiration. They never lasted long enough to keep a consistent creative output.

Those moments of inspiration are short-lived and everyone is in search for it. What ends up happening is that when the inspiration fades, your ideas go gather dust in the rusty valley of the project plateau.

However, the thing that separate the pros in their fields from the pack is that they know these moments of inspiration are short-lived.

Instead, they PREPARE.

They know its 99% perspiration 💦 over 1% inspiration.

They usually bias towards action.

Knowing that the growth comes within the journey. It’s about developing the muscle and putting up the reps.

It’s these little steps of action that, over time, lead to the compounding effect of the transformation that we all seek.

Their action compound into routines and rhythms that help them consistently manifest dreams.

Thoughts become action,
action becomes routine,
routine becomes growth to spur more thoughts.
If you know what i mean.

And the cycle repeats itself.

It’s all about the process and the practice.

Sharpening your vessel.
Developing your own routine.
Finding your creative rhythm.

My hope for building and launching a writing community is that multifaceted professionals and entrepreneurs that are short on time have a safe and encouraging community of like-minded people to build healthy habits and refine their communication skills together.

So we stop relying on only ‘inspiration’ and start taking active steps to build the things we dream of.

It’s easier to achieve big feats with a group of people than to do it in isolation.

I’ve learned this over time — whether it’s with starting and running a business, making music, or writing books. It’s better to do it with people.

Each of these endeavors require a lot of time, patience, and perseverance. It takes a lot of repetition to build constructive habits.

So stay ready and you don’t have to get ready!!!

Practice! Practice! Practice!

Focus on the process and journey. Let go of the outcome.

It’s the practice that gets you ready to fully tap in when the muse does decide to visit.

It’s the practice that helps you consistently transform you creative ideas to reality.
