While coordination is essential to avoid scheduling conflicts, the shared testing environment proves beneficial for teams working within budget constraints. Let's see how to achieve it

Create a user account on a Mac machine for Remote access.

Each user account will facilitate remote access, providing personalized environments for individual testers based on their specific testing needs

Steps to setup user account

1. Click on the “Apple menu” at the top left of the screen.

2. Choose “System Settings” (“System Preferences.” in some Mac OS)

3. Select the “User Groups” menu

4. Click on Add Account

5. Authenticate with your admin credentials.

6. Choose the account type (Standard, Administrator, etc.).

7. Enter the new user's Full Name, Account Name, and Password.

8. Click on the “Create User” button.

Now that you have successfully added a new user to your machine, make sure to note down the Account Name and password, as you will need them later in the process.

Enabling Remote Management on Mac OS

Steps to enable remote access to Mac

1. Click on the Apple menu at the top left of the screen.

2. Choose “System Settings” (“System Preferences.” in some Mac OS)

3. Select the “General > Sharing” menu

4. Enable “Remote Management” option

5. Select the “Network > Wifi” menu

6. Click on Wi-Fi

7. Click on Details

8. Note the IP address

Using VNC for Remote Access

Steps to Connect Mac

1. Go to the Real VNC website

2. Select your Device.

3. Choose your Operating System.

4. Click on “Download RealVNC Viewer.”

5. Navigate to the folder where RealVNC is downloaded, and run the file.

6. After the setup authorization, a pop-up will appear. Select your language and click ‘OK.’

7. Click on “Next” Button

8. Check the box that says, “I accept the terms in the License Agreement” and click the ‘Next’ button.

9. Choose the installation location and click the ‘Next’ button.

10. Click the ‘Install’ button to initiate the installation process.

11. After a successful installation, launch the application.

12. Enter the IP address in the text box at the top with the placeholder “Enter a VNC Server address or Search.”

13. Press ‘Enter’ after entering the IP address.

14. A pop-up will appear with the message “Connecting to the IP address.”

15. Check the box and click on ‘Continue.’

16. Enter the credentials of the remote machine you want to connect to and click ‘OK.’ The username is the Account Name you provided when creating a new user in the first section of this article.

17. Congratulations! You have now successfully connected to the remote Mac machine from your Windows/Linux machine.
