.COM Is The King

There are over 300 million #domain #names registered and almost 130 million of them are .COM. Domain names are considered to be one of the first #digital #assets ever created. There have been many .COM domain names that have sold for #millions of #dollars.

#Dotcom originally stands for #commerce, but most people think it stands for commercial. The market chose .COM out of a group of #legacy #TLD’s (.Net .Org .Edu .Gov .Mil) that were created in 1985. The first .COM domain name ever registered was Symbolics.com on March 15th,1985.

Decades later .COM is still the #king of domain names and that will probably not change going forward.
