Beat procrastination and improve your focus

Pomodoro is an Italian word, used for tomato. The Pomodoro technique is the secret to effective time management. Thinking in tomatoes rather than hours? It may seem silly at first, but for millions of people, Pomodoro is the life-changing power. This popular method works by alternating pomodoros to manage time.

Benefits:

— Focused work sessions.

— Provides frequent short breaks to promote sustained concentration and stave off mental fatigue.

— Enjoy gamified goal-setting.

I use the Pomodoro technique usually in performing any of the time-taking activities. Whenever I am on to an assignment making, I use this technique. It effectively manages the time and doesn’t let me feel tired or sick of the task, avoids procrastination and that gratification monkey in the mind is also satisfied in the short breaks. It is highly efficient when you have loads of work. It increases your productivity and your interest in the task, making you feel refreshed and geared up, and avoids most of the distractions during the work-time. It can save a lot of time as well, for example, when you avoid other distractions while making an assignment, which is usually social media, you’ll be securing the time for more tasks as well.

When I first considered this technique and compared the results, I was really excited to know how amazing it is when you can perform the task without feeling tired, especially on time. Before, I usually face timeline issues because of the distractions such as the use of social media and unwanted, unnecessary, and unneeded use of my mobile phone during my task, as the bell rings I check on my phone, who is it and then keep checking further notifications which take about 10 to 15 minutes at a time and sometimes it was very irritating for me as well resulting in frustrations and less focus towards my actual task. But Pomodoro helped me get out of this web and manage things properly and efficiently, realizing the importance of the task towards your goals. It increases your focus and efforts for that time and after that, you get a reward!!!
