The proclamation visit
Yesterday I overheard some ladies in the train where most of their conversation is dominated by what is happening in their life. Suddenly in the midst of the conversation, one of the ladies said they had visited Lalbaugcha Raja this year, which is a very good thing because there is a lot of belief that their wishes comes true after they pray to this Ganpathi avtaar, but then she said because her sister went last year and hence she also wanted to experience it. What got me thinking is the hoopla around this famous avatar. Well, one thing is clearly simple, people go to these prominent places because of the wow factor and the recognition that they will get in their life. Also, people will ask them question which makes them feel they are providing inside information like the decor, experience etc . But more than that, the subconscious motive of people to proclaim to everyone is that they visited this place because they want their efforts to feel appreciated, the pain they have taken to reach there and to get noticed in the crowd which makes them feel special. Just imagine if a person does not complete their visit, will they ever talk about their visit? Most probably not, because they do not want to feel that they are not capable which makes them feel belittled and feel unwanted.
The proclamation visit is like a badge that people like to wear it and show it to other people saying that I visited this place.
