Mind deluded by desires,

heart wavering with no sync.

Rage ignited by the fire,

truth outshining the past within a blink.

Restlessness caving into the skin,

thoughts racing with all might.

Filling the empty glass to the brim,

fighting the battle is seemingly the sole right.

Questions crippling in the head,

those that are vague and bland.

Seems like roses on a bed,

deem it an illusion and take a stand.

Wondering why kindness isn’t a lesson,

when power overshadows it.

Wondering why it seems like a burden,

when power is just fear wrapped with an uncertain grit.

Eyes wide open again,

seeing beyond the mirage.

Mind all still and trained,

and, the illusions have been dislodged.
