Dear Bernie Supporters:
I am caucusing for Hillary. Hillary and I have LONG history. I actively disliked her for nearly 20 years.
But the more crap I saw people throw at her - and I threw plenty of it myself - the stronger she became.
In fact, she THRIVED. She became a US Senator who won two elections. She mended fences with and became a valuable asset to her opponent, President Obama.
Hillary isn’t perfect, and I don’t expect her to be perfect. But she’s strong, she’s brilliant, she’s adaptable and diplomatic. She’s earned my respect over two decades like no other candidate I’ve ever considered supporting.
So please don’t helpfully inform me about her dead friends and Wall Street friends (a senator representing New York should have a few Wall Street friends) and her mistakes. After 22 years, there’s not one thing I haven’t heard.
If Bernie gets the nomination, of course I will support him. I’m not one of the petulant crowd who would let a Republican choose as many as four SCOTUS appointments because my candidate didn’t get the nomination.
In November we all have to show up and stick together. I’ll be there and hope you will be, too.
