A Map of Me
231
Jonathan Carroll
I recently added a new place to my map. A place that I now go back to alone. In this place someone extended their hand to me in true affection, which was not any intended part of our equation. But small gestures of affection are underestimated in their impact, and I noticed this one with curiosity and happiness. I go back to this spot on my map to reflect why.
You always have observations and views from higher perspectives, relevant to my life. I can pull back from my life, hover above it, and try to make sense of it. You give me reassurance that there’s a larger picture in which humanity does the same, and we just think we’re isolated. Thanks.
