The Tortured Tale of Samil — Part I

In the way of nature, not all are created equal. This fact of life on Nanotopia was hard to accept for some.

Samil Supial had spent his entire life dreaming of something different. He was born and raised in the village of Shady Square. A small village situated deep in the Forest of the Elders. Shady Square had once been a thriving, and exciting place despite its location.

The square and surrounding village had been established by Faunians possessing Totems native to the forest. Most of them being the smaller mammals of the area, such as Chipmunks, Foxes, Squirrels, and Badgers. The square had been built on the route of the first Ultra-Anima racetrack. It had become a popular place for spectators to await the first glimpse of the competitors after traversing the Molten Mountains. Growing up in this environment, Samil idolized the Ultra-Anima racers.

Unfortunately for Samil and the residents of Shady Square, this prosperity would end abruptly. A decision was made in Paragon City to change the route of the Ultra-Anima races. With the race no longer passing through the square, the prosperity of the village came to an end.

As Samil matured into a young man he longed to become an Ultra-Anima racer himself. He was already the largest and most physically gifted in the village and was convinced that with the right Totem, he was bound for stardom in Paragon City.
