Solstrus 2023 — Event Update
Complete Full Event Update
Hey there folks, welcome back as we broadcast life from HQ in Paragon City. The Solstrus event for this year is now imminent!! We hope you all have your foragers at the ready and as leveled as possible, to tackle the Solstrus tiered missions coming VERY soon.
The event goes live on December 17th at 00:00 UTC and will run for two weeks. We have posted an event in the discord server that covers the start and end time to the event so that you don’t miss a thing.
Now that all of the amazing Lore Stories have been released, a deep and heartfelt thank you to our Lore Master Mar$ Utah. We are extremely grateful for him keeping us all up to speed with the stories from across this great land, especially at a magical time like Solstrus.
Now, with all of that said, lets be sure to cover off ALL of the details that you find as a part of this years event:
SOLSTRUS TIERED FORAGING MISSIONS
As with Solstrus events in the past, the moment the event commences, you will see 5 tiered missions appear in your missions carousel. They will appear at the very front, so no need to go looking for them. As always, the tiers unlock based on the level of the forager you have selected for sending out. The higher the tier, the longer the mission run, the higher the risk and the higher the reward typically. Each mission will have a per/hr SOL rate posted to indicate the potential for the amount of Solken you will find on a successful mission. Gather ALL of the Solken you can as you forage, it will be used to purchase the Solstrus Festive chests that will be made available near the end of the event.
SOLSTRUS REGULAR FESTIVE CHEST
The Solstrus Regular Festive Chest will be made available approximately December 29th in The Shell Road Market and will be offered for 32 SOL each. They will remain for sale until they are either sold out or until the sale ends just into the New Year. The close date of the sale will be posted so that this is clear. So be sure not to wait too long to buy your chest(s)!!
Contents of the Regular Festive Chest will be one of the following:
- Regular Small Materials Loot Bag — 5 Floria, 7.5 Sap, 7.5 Versat, 10 Nanore — 26.67% Probability
- Regular Medium Materials Loot Bag — 6.25 Floria, 9.375 Sap, 9.375 Versat, 12.5 Nanore — 24.17% Probability
- Regular Large Materials Loot Bag — 8 Floria, 11.75 Sap, 11.75, Versat, 15.75 Nanore — 20.83% Probability
- Greenprint Crafting Credit — 2 Pack — 27.5% Probability
- A Golden Ticket! — 0.83% Probability
600 of the Solstrus Regular Festive Chests will be made available in The Shell Road Market when they are put on sale.
SOLSTRUS BOUNTIFUL FESTIVE CHEST
The Solstrus Bountiful Festive Chest will be made available approximately December 29th in The Shell Road Market and will be offered for 300 SOL each. They will remain for sale until they are either sold out or until the sale ends just into the New Year. The close date of the sale will be posted so that this is clear. So be sure not to wait too long to buy your chest(s)!!
Contents of the Bountiful Festive Chest will be one of the following:
- Bountiful Small Materials Loot Bag — 20 Floria, 30 Sap, 30 Versat, 40 Nanore — 6.67%% Probability
- Bountiful Medium Materials Loot Bag — 25 Floria, 37.5 Sap, 37.5 Versat, 50 Nanore — 10% Probability

GREENPRINT CRAFTING CREDIT (Found in some chests)
The Greenprint Crafting Credit can be used when you are crafting Greenprints, however unlike previous Greenprint Shellinium Credits, these ones can be used for any crafting type. Whether you are crafting with 4-components or with any rarity of 3D Figure. Furthermore, when you plug one of these into the AUX slot in your crafting interface, they cover ALL of the Base and SPU costs associated with the craft! These tokens are sure to be sought after by active crafters throughout the world!
As you can see by the chest outlines above, there will be a 2-Pack in the Regular chests and an 8-Pack in the Bountiful Chests.
FORAGING GOLDEN TICKET (Found in some chests)
Likely one of the items to be most sought after during and after the event, will be The Golden Ticket. This is a very special event when you secure one of these. They are extremely rare in the world of Nanotopia and to the bearer of one of these shiny items, you may redeem it and see a third foraging slot unlocked for 30 days from the moment of redemption!!
Folks of Nanotopia have yearned for the ability to send out a third forager for years and now, for the first time, Solstrus 2023 is making this a possibility. When you have and decide to use one of these Tickets, you will redeem them through the “Redeem” interface in the game. Upon redemption, you will immediately have a third slot become available in your foraging interface with a counter, counting down from 30 days. You can also stack these as well. Should you be fortunate enough to have more than one, if you have already redeemed one and your 30 day counter is already underway, redeeming another Ticket will simply add 30 days to whatever amount of time you had remaining.
SCRAPPY OL’ HAT & FESTIVE SMALL BACKPACK
These two items are the first ever introduction of “Special Loot” whilst foraging across the lands of Nanotopia. With this, we introduce the foraging accessory slots, allowing you to equip special accessories to your foraging as they head out. Each accessory will provide its own attributes that outline what effect they have. Out of these two items, the Backpack has immediate benefit.
Festive Small Backpack
The Backpack when equipped will give your forager the potential for additional materials returned. How this works is, if your foragers luck, triggers the bonus material payout AND you just so happened to have the Festive Small Backpack equipped, you will see the bonus material amount double for your Forager!
Scrappy Ol’ Hat
The Hat will be a bit different than the Backpack, in that it won’t offer immediate benefit. You are certainly able to equip the hat in its current state, however it will offer no benefit other than possibly keeping your foragers ears slightly warmer.
However, we will have a blend enabled that requires three ingredients for this one. The first being the Hat itself, the second being a roll of Festive Soft Velvet Material that can be procured from The Shell Road Market during the event for the price of 10 SOL per roll and the third item being the Solstrus Foraging Achievement Badge from the first ever Solstrus event. Many of these badges were issued and if you don’t have one, you can likely find one on the secondary or find someone with multiple who is willing to sell you one for a reasonable price.
Once blended, you are guaranteed to receive a Festive Solstrus Hat. This Hat is magical in nature and when equipped on a forager, gives them a boost of the speed known only to Garry Kraughz. You will see that on top of the boost your forager receives from their speed stat, the mission time required will drop by an additional 10%.
Just a final couple of notes on this topic, if you are fortunate enough to achieve multiple special loot items, you cannot send your forager out with two of the same type of accessory. In other words, they cannot wear two hats or two backpacks. They can only equip a single accessory of a given type. Also, for those who are interested in the probability of discovering special loot during the missions, the rate is 0.25% per hour run. Therefore, if you run a tier 1 mission, you will have a probability of 0.5% (2-hr mission) whereas if you run a tier 5 mission, that increases to 1.5% (6-hr mission). We want these items to be rare and valuable items for all those fortunate enough to secure them. We have run extensive testing on this to ensure the probabilities work out to what we were expecting based on our modeling, which they do.
BUT WAIT… THERE’S MORE!
For all of you Nanotopians out there who are actively staking and generating your Shellinium, we will introduce the event modifier again, just as we did for Halloween. This will see the staking rate modifier increase from 25% of base to 40% of base. Which means for the period of the event itself, your staking rates will be closer to double what the current staking rates are. We hope this helps you all take advantage of sending your Foragers out more aggressively throughout the event.
Keep in mind as always, if you are a bit light on Shell, you can always pick some up on a market and get the 2% import bonus for bringing it into your in-game vault.
Oh yes, and….
We decided we just couldn’t hold the event without adding one more little detail, one more specific item. We are going to have an item drop on The Shell Road Market, for a very specific accessory. The accessory is, “The Special Loot Magnet”. This item will be good for this Solstrus event and any future event where special loot is available through foraging missions.
So what is the benefit of this item you ask? It will have a variable boost, depending on the event, thereby boosting the probability of finding special loot. For this specific Solstrus event of 2023, the boost will be to double the rate. Rather than 0.25% per hour, it will increase the probability to 0.5% per hour. The drop will take place as follows:

Amount: 50 for wax, 150 for Shell
Price: 100 wax (x50), 100M Shell (x150)
Limits: 1 per player in wax, 1 per player in Shell
We feel this is an item, players won’t want to miss. It will bring long term value in that it will be useful for all special loot foraging events in the future. Don’t miss the drop and good luck!
